Overview

Kashi, also known as Varanasi, is a city located on the banks of the holy river Ganges in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, it is a significant cultural and religious hub for Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains. The city is renowned for its numerous temples, vibrant street markets, and stunning Ghats (steps leading down to the river). Visitors can also enjoy boat rides on the Ganges, witness the grand aarti ceremony, and explore the rich history and architecture of the city.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel

Late afternoon enjoy Ganga Arti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Return hotel for over night stay.

Day 2 :
Ganges tour

Early morning Ganges tour with boat ride to see sun rise and morning rituals at the sacred river bank.Visit Vishwanath temple, Annapoorna temple, Vishalakshi temple. Return hotel for breakfast. After that visit Mother India temple, Durga temple, Tulsi Manas Mndir, Sankat Mochan hanuman, drive through BHU and visit New Vishwanath temple. Afternoon free for shopping etc. O/N hotel.

Day 3 :
Visit Sarnath

After breakfast visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha ( believed to be 9th incarnation of God Vishnu )preached His first sermon. See ruins of Sarnath( Dhamek stupa, Mool Gandh kuti vihar and remains of Ashokan pillar ) and museum ( Friday closed ) to see Ashokan Lion Capital, now national emblem of India ( 3rd Century B.C.), beautiful Buddha image from 5th Century A.D. and many other scluptures. Later transfer to
airport railway station for next destination.
